While at the mall, my son and I were waiting on the womenfolk in the family so we spent some time with snacks. As we were sitting at the table, I decided to make a few exposures. Problem is that with a small compact camera, using the flash will illuminate what’s right in front of it and turn everything behind it turns black. I can’t stand that look so I tried some experiments, which weren’t entirely successful as evidenced by the blown out bag at the bottom left. However, getting some ambient light into the shot makes it a much better picture. The experiments will continue and some will end up in the Daily Photo Project.
